Brisbane City Sounds has welcomed over 30 women to our short vocal program in February to introduce new singers to singing a cappella, barbershop style.  Many of our guests performed with the Chorus for our International Women’s Day Show on Sunday March 6th.

The program involved vocal tuition over 3 rehearsal nights, and participants had the chance to see how we operate, experience four-part harmony singing, and to be part of a community concert.

‘We run a program like this as often as we can. It’s a great way to welcome new people to our craft, and we find that for anyone who is interested in joining us longer term, the structured introduction helps,’ says Rose.

‘And it’s fun!’

A small group now intend to audition and join he group, and we look forward to welcoming them more permanently.
